The Dual Master of Arts (M.A./M.A.) in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling program is designed for students seeking comprehensive training and dual licensure as both School Counselors and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC). You'll be equipped with the skills to support youth within school settings in addition to receiving the preparation necessary to provide mental health services in broader clinical and community environments.

Dual-degree students integrate their training in mental health counseling with specialized preparation in school counseling, enabling them to pursue licensure as both professional mental health counselors and school counselors.ÌýBy blending educational theory, counseling practice, and mental health principles, this program offers a versatile pathway for professionals committed to impacting individuals across multiple settings.ÌýGraduates will bring the strength of well-rounded counseling skills, equipped to support diverse youth populations both in schools and community mental health settings.

Dual degree students will complete the curriculum in the Master of Arts (M.A) in Mental Health Counseling and the Master of Arts (M.A.) in School Counseling.

Letters of Recommendation

Two letters of recommendation are required, with at least one preferably coming from an academic source. Applicants may submit one additional recommendation of their choice.

International Students

Applicants who have completed a degree outside of the United States must have a course-by-course evaluation of their transcript(s) completed by an evaluation company approved by the . Submission of falsified documents is grounds for denial of admission or dismissal from the University.

Applicants who are not native speakers of English and who have not received a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction must also submit a TOEFL or IELTS test result that meets the minimum score requirement.
