Perinatal decision-making, birth settings, midwifery workforce, physiology of labor and birth
Erin George, Ph.D., CNM, FACNM, is an assistant professor at the Connell School of Nursing. She is a Certified Nurse-Midwife with over a decade of clinical experience providing full-scope midwifery care in academic medical center, community hospital, and birth center settings. Dr. George earned her Ph.D. in Nursing at 艾可直播 College and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Her program of research includes birth setting effects on perinatal experiences and outcomes, midwifery workforce support and expansion, and the physiology of pregnancy, labor and birth. Dr. George currently serves as the inaugural president of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Association of Birth Centers.听
