From Alberto Hurtado University, Santiago, Chile, Father Crist贸bal's research interests center on personal identity, teacher meaning and beliefs, education in emergence, teacher attraction and retention, and evolution and behavior of the Catholic school subsystem in Latin America.
Fr. Cristobal has written several scholarly articles in renowned international journals. His most recent work, The Meanings That Keep Us Going in a Challenging Profession, published in the Jesuit Education Quarterly, brings the South American, Chilean perspective to teacher meaning, belief, and professionalism.

The G.R.A.C.E. Global Colloquium
The took place in January 2024 in Australia. Hosted by the University of Notre Dame Australia at its Fremantle campus, the colloquium brought together G.R.A.C.E. members, as well as Catholic education researchers, scholars, and practitioners from around the globe.
The next G.R.A.C.E. global colloquium will take place in June 2025 at St. Mary's University, London. There is still time to register; Catholic education researchers, partners, and practitioners in the U.S. who are interested can contact the Roche Center at rochecenter@bc.edu to learn more.听
After the London colloquium in June 2025, the Roche Center for Catholic Education, along with colleagues from the Lynch School of Education and Human Development and other 艾可直播 College units, is excited to welcome the G.R.A.C.E. community to 艾可直播 in 2026. Stay tuned for more details.
