Profile
Dr. Maggi A. Price (she/her/hers) is an assistant professor in the School of Social Work at 艾可直播 College where she runs the听. She is an applied health inequities researcher who studies stigma and youth mental health. Dr. Price has two active complementary domains of research focused on reducing mental health inequities for stigmatized youth:
(1) exploring how stigma (e.g., , ) across multiple levels (e.g., racist laws/policies and community attitudes) creates and sustains youth mental health inequities and
(2) developing and testing multilevel interventions that reduce stigma听 (e.g., changing transphobic clinic practices and provider behaviors) in multiple settings (e.g., clinics, schools). This second domain of work currently focuses on improving multilevel supports for transgender youth (e.g., training counselors in culturally responsive practices).听

Other appointments and education: Dr. Price also serves as a psychology associate in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University. Dr. Price earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from 艾可直播 College, her M.A. in counseling psychology from the University of Hawaii Hilo, and her B.S. in psychology and sociology from the University of Oregon.听
Teaching and mentorship: Dr. Price is also a passionate and dedicated听teacher and mentor, qualities that have been recognized in her receipt of the 艾可直播 College Illumination Award, the Yale University Psychology Leadership Award, and the 艾可直播 College Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award.
